Attention Techlovers! We are back with a bang. Asthra 2011 provides a great platform where promising engineers amalgamate to interact, innovate and share their insights into the recent trends and developments in IT.
Paper Presentation Topics:

Guidelines :
- The paper should comply with the IEEE standard format.
- Abstract should not exceed 200 words.
- Abstract should be sent on or before 19th December 2010 to asthra2011@gmail.com.
- The selected papers will be confirmed to you by mail on or before 21st December 2010 without fail.
- Complete presentation should be submitted on or before 27th December 2010.

Wanna test your wisdom? Wanna see how big your repository of knowledge is? If yes, ASTHRA 2011 is the place for the genius in you. So get ready for the ultimate gain of acquaintance and lets see who all become the brain boomerangs at the “INQUIZITORS”.
BE THERE OR BEWARE!!!
Guidelines:
- There can be a maximum of two students per team.
- There are two rounds Prelims and Finals.
- The Prelims round consists of 30 questions from different fields.
- The Finals round includes Rebuz and Logo Identification.
- The selected participants will be qualified for the Rapid Fire round
HACK THE FAKE:
Buckle up to face exigent codes and hunt for bugs to score. Brazen out semantics and exceptions… Confront constants and variables… Juggle logic with syntax…. Unleash your talent for testing with ‘Hack the Fake’. But beware of the timer!
Guidelines:
- Codes presented will be in C, C++ and Java
- Maximum of 2 students per team
- Multiple choice questions for the prelims
YELL IT OUT:
Hey! Are all of you ready for some fun??? Are you the guys with too many thoughts?? Here it comes only for you The game of Block and Tackle!!! It’s an event where you are supposed to contradict yourself about a given topic and that too in style. For this event we will require individual participants who will be given just a min for their preparation. Hey cool ! the topics given to you will be in general and might sometimes sound absurd and funny but were primarily designed inorder to test the participants humour, presence of mind and confidence!! If you are one of them anxiously waiting to brandish your talent’s then come over to have loads of fun with us…
Guidelines:
- Just 1 min for preparation on stage will be given.
- The time limit allotted to each speaker will be 3 minutes and the speaker will be asked to block (speak for) or tackle (speak against) a given topic and asked to switch roles by the moderator.
- Moderator can say switch at any time with a minimum time difference of 20 seconds.
- Points will be deducted for repeating the same sentences.

GAMEAHOLICS:
Introduction of newer technologies and platforms has facilitated the boom of gaming. With the advancements of digital technology, gaming has eventually grown with many phases that give us interactive entertainment. This event thereby invites the enthusiasts to compete in a multi- player environment. For all you big gamers out there, we have in store for you, loads of excitement.
Get ready to have fun!!!
Guidelines:
- In the prelims, the players will be grouped into 8 for each team and they have to compete among themselves.
- The winners of each team can go to the next stage.
- In the finals three groups will be selected as the winners.
- Difficulty level increases for each stage.

To all those emerging engineers out there looking for exciting and fun filled Marketing… Here’s the contest to accelerate your creativity. This event provides a platform to create ,communicate and deliver.
Guidelines:
- Each team will be given an imaginary product.
- Participants are requested to market the product in their own unique way.
- There can be a maximum of 5 students per team.
